Assets were moved from my App Wallet without my approval. What should I do?
A completed blockchain transaction generally cannot be reversed or cancelled. DCENT has completed reports to the relevant authorities and is continuing to take related measures. If you notice an unauthorized asset transfer, please contact DCENT 1:1 support first.
1. What to include in your inquiry
-
The asset and network where the unauthorized transfer occurred
-
The transaction ID (TXID) or block explorer link
-
The sending address and the receiving address
-
The wallet type you used (App Wallet / Biometric / Card / DCENT X) and your operating system
-
When you first noticed the issue
If you have already submitted your wallet address and transaction details to support, you do not need to send the same information again. Only if a new unauthorized transfer is confirmed afterward, reply with the asset name, blockchain network, public wallet address, and the TXID of that transaction.
2. Current status
DCENT is responding around the clock. We are working with Korean law enforcement, external security specialists, related coin projects, and exchanges to review the flow of funds and, where possible, request cooperation in freezing them. Whether and when funds can be frozen or recovered depends on the actions of the relevant authorities and third parties, and we will share updates through our official channels as they are confirmed.
Based on the information confirmed so far, we are establishing a process to determine the scope of impact and the status of asset transfers. Once the criteria and process are finalized, we will announce them through our official channels.
Any further decisions or confirmed facts will be announced through the official blog and X (formerly Twitter). You can check the progress in the status report.
3. If assets remain in your App Wallet
Assets held in your App Wallet (software wallet) are at risk of being lost. If you have any assets remaining, move all of them immediately to a hardware wallet or another trusted wallet.
All App Wallet (software wallet) users should move their assets immediately.
Do not move only part of your assets. Move ALL coins and tokens without leaving anything behind.
Update the app to v10.0.0 or later before moving your assets.
Never reuse the old App Wallet or its recovery phrase.
Never follow wallet addresses or instructions sent through DMs or unofficial channels.
4. Please remember
- DCENT never asks you to send assets to a specific wallet address for asset recovery or compensation.
- Never share your recovery phrase, private key, PIN, or password with anyone — including DCENT. Any message or DM requesting them is an impersonation.
- Be careful of contacts impersonating DCENT staff or support, and of smishing and phishing messages.
