Notice) Warning About Crypto Investment Scams Using the DCENT App
We have recently received a number of reports about scams that lure users into visiting specific websites through the [Discovery] tab of the DCENT app.
DCENT Wallet is a non-custodial wallet in which users manage their own blockchain assets directly, and we never induce or recommend any investment, purchase, or sale.
The Discovery tab is simply a browser-style feature for accessing various blockchain DApps. DCENT is not the operator of the DApps or websites you connect to, and does not guarantee any investment returns.
[The following are highly likely to be scams]
- A site reached through the Discovery tab or an external link emphasizes "guaranteed daily returns", "automated arbitrage", "NFT auctions", or "AI trading"
- During the withdrawal process, you are asked to deposit more funds under the pretext of taxes, security deposits, fees, or penalties
- Right after connecting your wallet, you are prompted to click Approve (granting permission), "fee waiver", or "unlock lockup"
- You are approached through social media, dating apps, Telegram signal groups, or calls from strangers and encouraged to invest in unregistered exchanges, specific websites, or specific coins
[What to do in such cases]
- Stop using the site immediately and disconnect your wallet
- Move any remaining assets to a secure wallet address right away
- If you have suffered financial loss, please report it to your local police or the relevant authorities in your country to get assistance.
When investing in crypto assets, please be especially careful with promises of unusually high returns, requests for additional deposits, and pressure to connect your wallet or sign transactions.
