Using TrustLine for XRPL
This guide explains how to add a TrustLine account to your XRP Ledger account and how to activate it so you can receive Trust Assets (IOUs).
This guide is based on DCENT Mobile App v10.0.0.
How to add a TrustLine account
1) In the My Wallet tab, tap the Add account (+) button next to the search bar.
2) Search for the TrustLine token you want to add. In this example, enter ELS in the search bar and select Elysian (ELS) shown on the XRPL network.
3) Keep the default account name or enter a new one, check the XRP account under Fee Account, and tap Add account.
4) The new TrustLine account appears under your XRP account.
How to set (activate) a TrustLine
Adding a TrustLine account alone does not let you receive Trust Assets (IOUs). You must activate the TrustLine first.
1) Tap the TrustLine account to expand it, then tap Receive.
2) If the TrustLine is not set, the account status shows Inactive and no address is displayed. Tap Set Trustline at the bottom of the screen.
3) A small XRP fee is charged, and an additional 0.2 XRP is reserved and can no longer be sent. Review the message and tap OK.
4) Activation sends a message transaction to the XRP Ledger. Enter the PIN or password of the wallet you are using. If you use a hardware wallet, check the details on the device screen and sign.
5) Once activated, your account address appears and Trustline reserve shows the reserved 0.2 XRP.
How to disable a TrustLine
You can disable a TrustLine at any time, even if the account still holds assets. However, assets left in a disabled account cannot be transferred, and to get back the 0.2 XRP reserved at activation, the TrustLine account balance must be 0.
Make sure no assets remain in the account before you disable it.
Disabling a TrustLine releases the 0.2 XRP reserved on your XRPL account.
1) On the detail screen of the TrustLine account, tap the More (⋮) button at the top right.
2) Select Disable Trustline from the menu.
3) Review the pop-up and tap Disable, then sign the transaction the same way as when activating.
4) Once disabled, the account shows Trustline is not activated yet. To activate it again, tap Set Trustline.
How to hide a TrustLine account
You can easily hide a TrustLine account you no longer use.
1) On the detail screen of the TrustLine account, tap the More (⋮) button at the top right.
2) Tap Hide account. The account will no longer appear in your wallet.
