How to add a custom network
This guide is based on DCENT Mobile App v10.0.0.
Custom Networks let you add an EVM-compatible network that is not in the DCENT default list. This guide uses World Chain Mainnet as an example.
Custom Networks is a feature for advanced users or developers.
Adding an untrusted RPC may expose your assets to risk. Only enter information you have verified from a trusted source, such as the network's official documentation. DCENT is not responsible for issues caused by networks or RPC endpoints you add.
Enable Custom Networks
1) In the Settings tab, tap Laboratory.
2) Turn on Custom Networks.
3) Review the pop-up and tap Proceed.
Check the Chain ID
To add a network, you need its Chain ID. You can find the Chain ID on sites such as Chainlist or on the network's official project website.
This section uses World Chain Mainnet as an example and shows how to find its Chain ID on Chainlist.
1) Enter chainlist.org in the address bar at the top of the Discovery tab. (If you use a mobile browser, use the browser's address bar.)
2) The Chainlist website opens.
3) Enter the name of the network in the Search Networks field. In this example, enter world.
4) Check the ChainID of World Chain in the results. The Chain ID of World Chain Mainnet is 480.
The results may include other networks with similar names. Check the network name and currency to make sure you enter the correct Chain ID. You can also find World Chain's official network information in the World documentation.
Add a custom network
1) In the Settings tab, tap Custom Networks.
2) Tap Add network.
3) Enter the network information and tap Add.
- Chain ID: The Chain ID you checked above (e.g., 480)
- Network Name: The network name shown in the app (e.g., World Chain)
- RPC URL: The network's RPC address (starts with https://)
- Symbol: The symbol of the network's native coin (e.g., ETH)
- Block Explorer URL: The block explorer used to view transactions and addresses (e.g., https://worldscan.org)
When you enter the Chain ID, basic information such as the network name, RPC URL, and symbol is filled in automatically.
Before adding the network, check that the auto-filled information is correct on the chain's official project website.
Add an account
1) Once the network is added, tap Add account in the pop-up.
2) Check the account name and tap Add account.
3) The new network's account appears in the My Wallet tab.
4) Tap the account to expand it, then tap Receive to view your address on that network.
You can only receive assets on the network shown on the receive screen (e.g., World Chain). Be careful not to send assets from a different network.
Like custom tokens, accounts added through Custom Networks may not show prices or asset values (e.g., fiat value). Your balance is still displayed normally.
Custom Networks have limited token support, so tokens on that network may not appear in the DCENT app. They are simply not displayed in the app; swaps, transfers, and other actions on DApp services work normally.
You can view, edit, or delete networks you have added in Settings > Custom Networks.
