I can't send Tron (TRC20) tokens. Token sending keeps failing.
If you're sending TRC20 tokens (e.g., USDT) on the TRON network and encounter a “FAILED - OUT OF ENERGY” error, it means your TRON account does not have enough TRX to cover the transaction fee (engergy).
[What Is “Energy” on the TRON Network?]
The TRON network uses a resource called Energy to execute smart contracts when transferring TRC20 tokens.
- Energy is consumed as part of the transaction fee
- It is paid using TRX (the native coin of the TRON network).
- The required Energy (and cost) may vary depending on the network's governance proposals.
[Why Did the Transaction Fail?]
If your TRON account has insufficient TRX, the network cannot supply enough Energy, causing the transaction to fail with this message:
FAILED - OUT OF ENERGY
[Notice: TRON Energy Cost Increase]
Due to recent governance proposals on the TRON network, the cost of Energy has increased, meaning more TRX is now required to complete the same TRC20 token transactions.
[How to Resolve the Issue]
- To ensure stable transfers of TRC20 tokens, we recommend maintaining at least 100 TRX of available balance in your Tron account.
- If your balance is low, please acquire additional TRX via an exchange or swap service before attempting the transaction again.
※ The actual amount of TRX required may vary depending on the energy cost on the Tron network.
