Why are the Bitcoin addresses different between the Biometric Wallet and the DCENT App?

Due to Bitcoin's security policy, reusing a previously used address is not recommended.

For this reason, a single BTC account in the DCENT Wallet is designed to generate and manage up to 15 addresses sequentially.

[Address Display Differences Between the DCENT App and the Biometric Wallet]​

  • In the DCENT app, the first BTC address is fixed as the main address for user convenience
  • On the Biometric Wallet device, addresses may appear differently, as it follows Bitcoin’s standard address management logic
  • Even if the displayed address differs, they are all linked to the same BTC account and there is no issue with managing your Bitcoin assets

[How to View All BTC Addresses]​

  1. In the [My Wallet] tab, tap your BTC account to expand it, then tap [Receive].
  2. On the receive screen, tap the question mark (?) button next to [Multi-Address].
  3. On the [Multi-Address] screen, tap the down arrow (∨) next to [View all Bitcoin addresses].
  4. All 15 public addresses are shown.

The address displayed on the receive screen is the primary address (the first of the 15). You can receive BTC to any of these addresses, and it will arrive in the same account and be reflected in your wallet.
