Why can't I send the full amount of XRP?

Due to Ripple (XRP) network policy, a minimum of 1 XRP must remain in the wallet to keep the address active.
This 1 XRP is permanently locked once the wallet is activated and cannot be withdrawn or used.

[Example: How to Calculate the Sendable Amount]

When sending XRP from your wallet, the following condition must be met:

  • Remaining balance - (Amount to send + Transaction fee) ≥ 1 XRP

Example: If your XRP balance is 10 XRP

→ The maximum amount you can send is approximately 8.999 XRP

[What If You’ve Set Up Trust Lines?]

Each Trust Line added to your XRP wallet locks an additional 0.2 XRP.

Example: If you have set up 2 Trust Lines, a total of 1.4 XRP is locked
(1 XRP for wallet activation + 0.4 XRP for trust lines)

The more trust lines you add, the less XRP will be available for transactions.

Make sure to check your available balance before sending XRP.
