I get a “disconnected” notification during the update.
This is normal behavior. The device reboots during the update, which briefly drops the Bluetooth connection, and the app reconnects automatically.
[What to do]
- Just wait. Once the reboot finishes, the firmware transfer starts and the progress is shown.
- Depending on what is being updated, the device may reboot several times.
[What not to do during an update]
- Powering the device off or performing a hardware reset
- Disconnecting Bluetooth from the mobile app or force-quitting the app
- Moving the device and the smartphone out of Bluetooth range of each other
