I do not remember my R3covery Card PIN.

The R3covery Card PIN is the 6-digit number you set when backing up to the card. It is separate from the device PIN. Without the card PIN you cannot restore a wallet from that card.

[Cautions]

  • You can enter the card PIN up to 10 times. After 10 consecutive failures the card is wiped and the backup data stored on it is deleted.
  • This works independently of the policy that resets the device after 10 wrong device PIN entries.
  • On the card information screen during the restore flow, tap the ⓘ icon to see how many PIN errors have occurred so far (failed attempts / 10 total). Check how many attempts you have left first.

[What to do]

  • If you do not know the card PIN, restore your wallet with the 24 recovery words (mnemonic code).
  • If you are currently using the device normally, you can set a new PIN under Settings > R3covery > Change PIN. (the current PIN is required)
  • If you have a device in use, we recommend backing up again to a new R3covery Card from Settings > R3covery > R3covery Card backup.
