I want to reset the device.

You reset the device from Settings > System Settings > Reset Device, and PIN authentication is required. You cannot proceed with a fingerprint.

[Steps]​

  1. Select Settings > System Settings > Reset Device.
  2. Enter your PIN.
  3. If you have never viewed your recovery words, a screen asks whether you want to view the mnemonic.
  4. Read the warning screen.
  5. Tap the [Reset] button and the reset runs.

[Cautions]​

  • A reset deletes all wallet information and settings stored on the device.
  • Before you continue, make sure you have an R3covery Card backup or a written copy of your recovery words.
  • If you reset without a backup, your assets cannot be recovered.

[If the device is frozen and you just want to restart it]​

Use a hardware reset instead of a device reset. Press and hold the fingerprint sensor button for at least 10 seconds - your wallet information is not deleted.

[If you want to reset an R3covery Card]​

  • You do this from Settings > R3covery > Reset R3covery Card, and the card PIN is required.
  • If you have never viewed your recovery words, a screen asks whether you want to view the mnemonic before the reset.
  • Resetting a card permanently deletes the backup data on it.
