The digits are in a different position every time I enter my PIN.
This means the “Random PIN Pad” option is turned on. It is not a malfunction - it is a security feature that prevents shoulder surfing, where someone nearby watches you enter your PIN.
[How it works]
- ON : the digits are shuffled once each time you open the PIN entry screen. They are not shuffled again while you are entering the digits.
- OFF : the digits are always shown in the standard sequential layout (1-9, 0).
[How to change the setting]
- You can turn it on or off under Settings > Security > Random PIN Pad.
[Notes]
- The R3covery Card PIN entry screen follows this setting as well. If you turn the Random PIN Pad off, the R3covery PIN screen is also shown in the sequential layout.
- The screen where you register your PIN during the initial setup is always sequential, regardless of this setting.
