Are my assets stored on the DCENT Wallet itself?

DCENT Wallet does not store your cryptocurrency assets directly.

All assets exist on the blockchain, and the DCENT Wallet securely stores your private key, which gives you access to those assets.

[How Asset Storage Works]​

DCENT is a non-custodial wallet, meaning it does not hold your crypto.

Instead, it allows you to:

  • Securely store your private key (hardware or app-based)
  • View and manage your blockchain assets by reading blockchain data
  • Sign transactions using your private key when needed
  • Only your account information and private key are stored in the wallet, not the actual coins or tokens

[How Balances Are Displayed]​

  • DCENT app queries blockchain data linked to your wallet address to show your balance and transaction history in real time.
