The Swap Status Is Displayed as “Expired”
This article explains the main causes and troubleshooting steps when a swap transaction is marked as “Expired” in the D’CENT swap history.
The Swap feature in the D’CENT app is not operated directly by D’CENT. It is provided through integration with third-party swap service providers.
When you initiate a swap, your assets are sent to the swap service provider that is either automatically recommended or manually selected, and the provider then sends the swapped assets back to your wallet.
If the swap status is displayed as “Expired”, and the Swap Detail screen shows a message such as “The transaction was halted as the deposit was not made within the allotted time.”, please review the information below.
[Main Reasons Why the Swap Status Is Shown as “Expired”]
- Deposit Time Limit Exceeded
- Some swap service providers impose a limited deposit window (for example, 15 or 30 minutes) due to liquidity conditions, price volatility, or risk management policies.
If the transfer is not completed within the specified time, the swap request may be automatically marked as “Expired.”
- Some swap service providers impose a limited deposit window (for example, 15 or 30 minutes) due to liquidity conditions, price volatility, or risk management policies.
- Network Delay or Insufficient Gas Fee
- Even if you send the assets within the allowed deposit time, the transaction confirmation may be delayed due to network congestion or insufficient gas fees.
- If the transaction is not confirmed within the time limit set by the swap provider, the deposit may not be recognized as valid, and the swap status may be shown as “Expired.”
[How to Check the Swap Transaction Status]
If your swap is marked as “Expired,” first check how the transaction was processed on the blockchain.
Steps to check the transaction status:
- Open the D’CENT app and go to [Swap].
- Tap [View Swap History] in the top-right corner
- Select the swap with the “Expired” status
- Scroll down and tap [Transfer TXID]
- Check the transaction status on the corresponding blockchain explorer.
If the Transaction Status Is “Pending” or “Fail”
- The transaction may not have been completed due to network congestion, insufficient fees, or incorrect transaction settings.
- In this case, the assets were not deposited to the swap service provider,
so the swap request is automatically marked as Expired. - If the status is “Pending,” it may later change to “Confirmed (Success)” or “Fail,” depending on network conditions.
- If the status is “Fail,” please check the gas fee and network status, then create a new swap request and try again.
If the Transaction Status Is “Success (Confirmed)”
- The assets have been successfully deposited to the swap service provider.
- Please contact the corresponding provider to confirm the deposit and ask about any possible follow-up actions.
When contacting the provider, please include the information below for faster assistance:
- Exchange ID
(※ For swaps using certain DEX services, the Exchange ID may not be displayed.) - Transfer TXID
- Screenshot of the Swap Detail screen
- Swap request details, such as the date and time, swap amount, and asset pair
(Example: “Around 2025-12-30 10:15 (KST), QNT → VAI swap, 250 QNT”)
