How can I verify if my mnemonic code is correct?
If you want to check whether your recovery words (mnemonic code) are correct, you can verify them based on the type of wallet you are using.
[For DCENT X Users]
- On DCENT X, go to [Settings] > [Wallet] > [Verify mnemonic] to check whether your saved recovery words match the wallet on the device.
[For Biometric Wallet Users]
- On the DCENT Biometric Wallet device, go to [Settings] > [Security] > [Seed Check] > [24 Word].
- Then enter the 24 words written on your Recovery Sheet in the exact order to verify their accuracy.
[For DCENT S Card Users]
- The DCENT S Card is backed up with the R3covery card by default.
- The recovery words (24 words) are provided as a separate option you can check and write down after completing the R3covery card backup. On the card registration complete screen, tap "Would you also like to write down your recovery phrase on paper?" to view your recovery words, then verify them.
[For App Wallet (Software Wallet) Users]
- You can view your recovery words in the DCENT app under [Settings] > [More (⋮) button] > [App Wallet Backup].
