I bought a new Biometric Wallet after using the App Wallet.
This article explains two ways to migrate your wallet if you are currently using the D’CENT App Wallet (software wallet) and have purchased a new Biometric Wallet.
If you've purchased a new D'CENT Biometric Wallet while using the App Wallet (software wallet), you can either transfer your assets or restore your wallet using one of the two methods below.
[Option 1: Send Assets from the App Wallet to the Biometric Wallet]
- Complete the initial setup of your Biometric Wallet
- From your App Wallet, send your assets to the Biometric Wallet address
- Once the transaction is complete, your assets will appear in the Biometric Wallet
[Option 2: Restore the App Wallet Using Recovery Words]
You can also restore your App Wallet directly on the Biometric Wallet using the 24 recovery words.
- Back up your recovery words (mnemonic phrase) from the App Wallet first
How to Back Up Your App Wallet - On the Biometric Wallet, choose [Recover Wallet] during initial setup
- Enter your 24 recovery words from the App Wallet accurately
- In the D'CENT app, go to [Settings] > [Manage All Wallets], and select "Add Biometric Wallet"
- Connect the Biometric Wallet to your smartphone via Bluetooth
- Add your previously used coin accounts

Once your wallet has been successfully restored and your assets are visible:
- We recommend deleting and reinstalling the D'CENT app to remove the old App Wallet address
- This is especially important if both the App Wallet and Biometric Wallet share the same recovery words, as compromising the App Wallet could also put your Biometric Wallet at risk.
- If you did not back up your recovery words, you may permanently lose access to your assets.
