I forgot my DCENT App password.

This document explains that if you forget your app password, DCENT cannot recover it, and that if you are using an App Wallet, you must back up your recovery words before reinstalling the app.

DCENT App password is a 6-digit numeric password that you set during the initial setup after installing the app.

[If You Forgot Your Password]​

DCENT is a non-custodial wallet, which means it does not store any user information.

Therefore, if you forget your app password, DCENT cannot recover or reset it for you.

[What You Can Do]​

  1. Keep trying possible combinations of your password
  2. Or, delete and reinstall the DCENT app to register a new password

[Important for App Wallet Users]​

  • If you are using the App Wallet, you must back up your 24 recovery words (mnemonic code) before deleting the app
  • If you delete the app without backing up your recovery words, you will lose access to all assets stored in the App Wallet.
