Notes on Wallet Recovery - Legacy account

Starting from mobile app version v5.3.1, newly created accounts for Kaia (KAIA), Ethereum Classic (ETC), and RSK (Rootstock) use the same address format as the Ethereum account.

This means that if you used the D'CENT App Wallet or Biometric Wallet before this update, you will need to add a "Legacy" account after recovering your wallet in order to see the assets you held previously.

How to Add a "Legacy" Account​

  1. After recovery, if the newly created account name does not include "Legacy", you need to add the Legacy account separately.

  2. Tap the "Add Account +" button, then select the item labeled "Legacy" from the coin list (for example, Kaia Legacy).

  3. Once the account is created, an account with "Legacy" in its name will appear, and you will be able to see your previously held assets.

  4. If a non-Legacy account for the same coin was created automatically and you do not need it, tap the "Hide Account" button to remove it from view.

To confirm that recovery completed correctly, we recommend comparing the addresses shown after recovery with the addresses you were using before. If they match, the wallet has been recovered properly.
